My Maytag dishwasher won’t turn on. Any ideas?
Model # MDB7600… Circuit breaker is fine… all electrical connections to the unit are fine. I just emptied out one load and started another, and it doesn’t respond at all. I even thought maybe one of the kids hit the "delay" button, but I hit that and got no response out of that, either.
try reseting the breaker 1st. then check that the door is latching correctly. other things you can check is the float inside tub in bottom front is stuck up (looks like a little top hat-plastic)try and move it up and down.
otherwise call an appliance repair company to figure it out further.
how do i repair my dishwasher it leaks under the floor tiles?
First remove the toe kick cover under the Dishwasher. (2) screws on either side. Remove this cover, save the screws. Then grab a flashlight and look under the dishwasher. Just slightly left about five inches back you will find a flexible or sometimes copper water feed line. It attaches to a brass 90 degree fitting to the underside of the machine. This is a common leak spot. Before you do to much you may want to run the machine and check for leaks. You probably will not have to pull the machine out to fix anything. If you find a leak and need to tighten a fitting remember to turn the water supply off under the kitchen sink.(just in case)
Good luck

convert portable dishwasher to built in, i need to know how to re-do the water and drain hose?
I did this once and it worked fine. Just cut the water and drain connector off the end of the Portable Dishwasher line - the one that hooks to the kitchen faucet. Then put a Tee in your hot water line under the sink - hook one side to the hot water faucet, the other side to the Dishwasher water inlet line with appropriate adapter. The drain hose then might have to be adapted to a larger size just before it goes into the drain. Either connect it into the garbage disposal as explained above, or go to any hardware store and get an adapter drain pipe that you can push the drain hose onto and clamp. It will take a bit of ingenuity, but you can do it. We used this dishwasher this way for several years with no problem.
