PostHeaderIcon Maytag Legacy series 300 dishwasher, panel acting strange?

I’ve had my Maytag DishDishwasher for about 18 months. Just recently the control panel has started doing a funny thing.

I always use the Auto Clean cycle. It will go through the cycle normally. At the end of the wash cycle, the "dry" icon will light up (I use air dry, not heated dry but the icon still lights up which is normal). Typically the "dry" icon will stay lit for about 30 minutes before switching to "clean" but lately when it switches to "dry" the button will start randomly flashing 3 times, go steady, then flashing 3 times, etc.

After about 10 minutes of this the panel will then switch to "rinse only". This icon will then stay lit for several minutes then the whole panel will go dark, then the "rinse only" button will light again. This goes on for a certain amount of time before the whole panel goes dark and stays dark. Note that after the wash is complete, it’s just the panel that is acting up, the washer is not actually going into rinse cycle.

The wash load is functioning normally as far as I can tell. The wash cycle is 90 minutes, my dishes are clean and the air is hot when I open the door. I’m guessing this is a panel issue which I know will cost just as much as a new dishwasher to fix. Can anyone tell me if there is something I can do myself to reset the panel or otherwise resolve this issue? I really appreciate your help.

PostHeaderIcon I have a dishwasher with a plastic tub that somehow got a 1/2" hole in it. what’s the best repair? Putty?

they make a epoxy putty you might want to try.you might need to put something behind the hole.there is a putty used for fiberglass boat hull repair too.

PostHeaderIcon The best electric/built-in dishwasher?

We are looking for a new Dishwasher for our house. (And no the kids and us don’t count). We have hard water and not the greatest water pressure, but it’ll do. I would like to know a good dishwasher to replace the broken one that came with our house. You may also include bad ones, so I know what NOT to buy!

Thanks!
I would also like a specific make/model and under $800.

:)
I prefer the Bosch brand.
Little more expensive,
but worth it.
