How can I change the settings on Bosch Exxcel Dishwasher?
Hi, I’ve got a Bosch SMS50EGB12 Exxcel dishwasher and I need to change the water hardness setting. However the method in the manual doesn’t work for me. The manual suggest Turning on then Press and Hold Start but nothing changes, the cycle time just flashes.
Anyone with this washer able to help?

I don’t have a dishwasher (in my house I’m the Dishwasher) but I do have a Bosch manual of Appliances as I just got a new washing machine 3 weeks ago.
On looking at the page that your dishwasher is on there is no Adjustable Water Softener facility listed for it.
The other machine on the same page which is a SMS50E02UK does have that facility.
Could it be that your machine doesn’t have this.
On the back of the brochure there is a number for Product Advice Line its 0844 892 8925. It might be worth phoning and ask for their advice.
